New paper: Analysis of the sample size used in clinical MRI studies
Congratulations to Clara Bögerl, Dr. rer. biol. hum. Jannis Hanspach and co-authors on the recently published article “Analysis of the sample size used in clinical MRI studies”!
This study analyzed 734 clinical MRI studies published in JMRI (2020–2023) and found that sample sizes varied widely, with a median of 74.5 patients and most studies involving fewer than 350 patients. Sample size was influenced by study type and methodology, highlighting the importance of balancing statistical power with practical constraints in study design.
